It takes everyone – the city, local businesses and individuals like you – to provide the programming, experience and knowledge to assist the Dublin Recreation Services and the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center in running the Dublin Entrepreneurial Camp.
At the kick-off planning meeting last Tuesday, Matt Earman, Director of Dublin Recreation Center, talked about how everyone’s contribution to helping Dublin students learn about entrepreneurship is an investment in the city’s economic development and an investment in our future.
Camp Program Developers – Scott Hanks and Bryan Arnold – discussed how they will work with various businesses and individuals to establish programming that is flexible for the volunteers, but also provides the programming the kids need to be successful.
DEC Consultants, Rick Coplin and Sandy Blanquera, talked about how proud they were of the students last year as they put together their own business plans, networked with business professionals and gained experience in entrepreneurial environments. Coplin said his hope is that the students who attend this camp will be leaders in the future, and winner of TechColumbus Innovation Awards as students, and later as entrepreneurs.
Thank you to all who attended the kick-off meeting. If you wish to be part of the accomplishments of our students and provide your expertise to help us have another successful year of entrepreneurial camp, please contact Dublin Recreational Services to get involved.
